Baku is located at the intersection of Asia and Europe as being one of the most colourful and attractive city in the world. Baku is also called as “Wind City”. The capital city, Baku is known for its history and largeness of area and population in the east of the globe. It is located south of the Absheron Peninsula and west coast of Caspian Sea. Baku has been nominated numerous awards with protecting its amazing history as the infrastructure, architecture, business centers, and sky-scrapers of modern European cities.

The biggest and center of the country, Baku is the city in between of the East countries that opening of the first national theatre and Azerbaijan library, publishing of the first Azerbaijan newsletter and singing of the first opera and have been held. At the moment, having 30 museums, 7 theatres, philharmonic and opera theatres, film studios and libraries proves that Baku is the biggest cultural city of Caucasia.

At the location of coast of the Caspian Sea, Baku is differentiated for its uncial soft climate and touristic places with many cities around the world. The climate allows foreigners to visit the city all along the year and enjoy with their leisure time. At recent years, there has been many hotels constructed for benefits of the tourists and every feature has been created for their rest.

The modernized Baku and its history is inseparably correlated each other. Inclusion of Old City Town or fortress walls and Maiden Tower to the list of UNESCO World Heritage has caused the attraction of many tourists. Building of Flame Towers, Heydar Aliyev Center, Crystal Hall and others can be exemplified in the list of new architectural monuments of Baku.
